Denis Farley & Mark Ruwedel | Landscape

18 October - 22 November 1997

Exhibition Dates: October 18 - November 22, 1997

We are pleased to present the work of tow Quebec based photographers who are providing new frames of reference in the genre of landscape photography; Denis Farley and Mark Ruwedel.

In Mark Ruwedel’s “Westward the Course of Empire”, he continues his poetic documentation of the human element in geology. His large format photographs of railway cuts are emblematic of the exploitation of the American West. These landforms are the surviving evidence of the large and small railway lines that were involved in the economic plunder which occurred at the end of the last century.
